COTTAGE DETAILS
This is a real find, situated 6 miles from both Ballybunnion and Ballylongford. You are just a stones throw away from the very quiet sandy beach that stretches for 5 miles long.

The village of Asdee is 2 miles away and has a shop and 2 pubs including the famous "Jessie James".There is also another pub just 1/2 mile up the road from the house,called "The Store".

Ballybunion is best known for its must-play golf links, with dramatic cliff scenery. If you can tear yourself away, good day trips include touring the Dingle peninsula or the Ring of Kerry, or take a ferry from Tarbert over to Co Clare to visit the Burren National Park.

The views from the cottage are spectacular.
Shannon Estuary is home to Europes largest school of bottlenose dolphins. They can be seen from the beach on a calm day. Dolphin watching boat trips go from Kilrush, which you can get to by ferry.

The beach is ideal for golf practice. There are two championship golf courses at Ballybunion, 5 miles away.

Carrigafoyle Castle is nearby, and on the island opposite there is a round tower and old monastery.

There is parking for up to 6 cars.

There is an active riding school based about 1/2 mile from Rose Cottage.This is suitable for kids and adults of all ages.A ride on horseback along this long stretch of magnificant beach is breathtaking.


Ballybunion is just 6 miles away with loads of activities,restaurants and pubs.
Listowel famous for Listowel Writers Week and Listowel Race week,is just 10 miles away.



CRAIC AND CULTURE OF KERRY

The pub up the road is the nearest taste of Irish culture and often has traditional music nights.The whole surrounding area is a taste of traditional rural Ireland at a slow and relaxed pace.Asdee village,2 miles away has 2 other pubs,with Ballybunion only 6 miles from the Cottage.
